Okay. Well, I will not say anything about what and who I chose to email to. If it's something I do, it'll be my business and not that part of the board.

I think so long as the tutorials show the fabric side, and not the paper side, we're okay. And we can refer to them as the ABCD, whatever. That's not copyrighted.

Patrice, does that meet your comfort level on this?

Oh,you guys! You have to be kidding. We have purchased the book...we have purchased the software...we are having a discussion. How can this be seen as fraught with potential lawsuits? I hope they will reconsider. I am going to try to stay calm, and not panic. I need the tutorials desperately.

I consider myself a reasonably good quilter now, not expert but not beginner either, and I still needed the tutorials. It's a huge help being able to check and see which bits go where without printing reams and reams of paper.

Hello all. I have opened a blog. It's listed on my signature line. If it's not there yet, it will be soon. I hope to post as much as I can to help everyone thru it. I urge all of you to keep checking in. Again, there is no reason we can't post tutes as long as we aren't showing the patterns from the software...(at least that's my understanding). I'm sure we'll hear from the powers that be if it's a problem.

Also, send me your email address so I can stay in touch with you.

the author didn't contact the forum saying to take it down, its the forum just trying to avoid any conflict.
Why doesn't she (the forum) or someone ask the author if what we are doing is okay?

I think we should wait till Klue comes back and see what she wants to do..... this has been her baby all along, and I'd hate to see her walk away, she's put far too much work in. I'm sure she's working on a plan right now, a plan so cunning you could put a tail on it and call it a weasel! ;-) (do you guys even get Blackadder over there? I hope so, otherwise I'm going to look like a raving loon ;-) )
